The present invention relates to an apparatus for controlling auto cruise of a vehicle and a method thereof and, more specifically, provides an apparatus for controlling auto cruise of a vehicle and a method thereof, which can prevent an increase in a rapid torque command generated in torque restriction release time by dynamically controlling a target speed of the auto cruise at the torque restriction release time. To achieve this, according to the present invention, the apparatus for controlling auto cruise of a vehicle comprises: a torque difference calculation unit; an initial speed detection unit; a switch; a switch control unit; and a target speed control unit. |
