Sewing machine presser foot is low-wt. and has a compact and detachable connection between a flexible presser bar and a movable sole of thin dimensions. The supporting cross-section of the upper presser bar has a recess to provide movability of the sole receiver about an angle. The arrangement enables the sole to be exchanged for another without the use of contrivances.
