A paging method, a network device and a communication system. The method comprises: receiving, by a mobility management entity (MME), paging indication information transmitted by a base station or a gateway, the paging information indicating that user equipment in an idle state has been waken up. The embodiments of the present disclosure enable the MME to avoid retransmitting a paging message, and reduce the overhead of paging signaling. |
