Connector for discharge lamp having unilateral terminals

A connector for a discharge lamp (5) with terminals on one side contains electronic ballast (3). The ballast is on a circuit board (2) with contact pins for the lamp socket(4) and the connecting strip(1). Both socket and connecting strip plug onto opposite edges of the circuit board, with spring-assisted contact. The socket is mounted on its plug-in element(20) so that it can swivel, yet still maintaining electrical contact. The circuit board has a rectangular recess for the socket plug-in element so that the socket is partially within the recess. The plug-in element is U-shaped and the contact pins are on either side.
