PURPOSE: To provide an inexpensive expanded graphite ring-shaped seal material where the leakage or projection of the fluid through the clearance between inner layers of a ring-shaped formed body consisting of the expanded graphite tape can be prevented, the excellent sealability can be secured, the heat resistance is excellent, and a counterpart can be prevented from being damaged. CONSTITUTION: The end part in the width direction of an expanded graphite tape 2 on the circumferential side is folded in an inclined manner to end faces 1A, 1B of a formed body at least in one place of end corner parts 1a-1d in the tape width direction on the inner and outer circumferential side of the ring-shaped formed body 1 where a spirally coiled body of the expanded graphite tape 2 is pressed in the tape width direction to form inclined folded parts 2b, 2c. |
