<p>PURPOSE:To form the semicircular sealing part having less plastic deformation on the pipe end part by plastically deforming the pipe end part by adding pressure with the upper horn by supporting it with the lower horn of semicircular shape divided in the peripheral direction and by giving ultrasonic vibration by dispersing the pressure force with the lower horn. CONSTITUTION:The end part of a pipe 1 is supported by the supporting recessed part 7a, 8a of the bisected lower horn 7, 8, the upper horn 2 is pushed down by a ram 4 and the pipe 1 end part is plastically deformed by crushing it in semicircular shape by a pressure part 2a. In this case, due to the pipe end part being pressed over the whole semicircular shape a local thin thickness part is difficult to cause, also a press-fitting is performed with less plastic deformation. The end part of the pipe 1 is then sealed by vibrating it when an ultrasonic oscillator 5 in the direction intersecting at right angles with the pressing direction.</p> |
