PURPOSE:To uniformize the particle size of an ink droplet, by correcting the irregularity of vibration displacement distribution in a nozzle row direction. CONSTITUTION:A vibration generating member consists of the first vibration generating member 21 and the second vibration generating members 22. The second vibration generating members 22 each composed of a square pillar-shaped piezoelectric material having the width dimension lw and height dimension ln almost same to those of each segment of the first vibration generating member 21 are provided on both sides of the first vibration generating member 21. The vibration displacement distributions of the vibration generating members 21, 22 are shown by dotted lines and the vibration displacements at the end parts of the first vibration generating member 21 are corrected by the second vibration generating members 22. As a result, the uniform cutting of an ink droplet is obtained. By using two independent AC drive signal generating means corresponding to the first and second vibration generating members 21, 22, the drive voltages of the second vibration generating members 22 can be adjusted after the drive voltage of the first vibration generating member 21 is set and, by this method, the uniformity of the particle size of the ink droplet is obtained further pref. |
