PURPOSE:To accurately estimate a transmission path characteristic from the output signal of an equalizer and to reduce a transmission error by switching the targeted values of an in-phase component signal and an orthogonal component signal in identification timing. CONSTITUTION:As for the in-phase component signal, an error between the output signal of the equalizer 3 and the targeted value selected by a selector 8 is calculated at an error detection circuit 10, and the output signal of the error detection circuit 10 is fed back to the equalizer 3, then, the transmission path characteristic is estimated. Also, as for the orthogonal component signal, the error between the output signal of the equalizer 4 and the targeted value selected by a selector 9 is calculated at an error detection circuit 11, and the output signal of the error detection circuit 11 is fed back to the equalizer 4, then, the transmission path characteristic is estimated. Therefore, it is possible to set the targeted value of the output signal of the equalizer at its amplitude value by switching the targeted value of the output signal of the equalizer adaptively, and to perform the equalization of a transmission path accurately. In such a way, the transmission error of data can be reduced. |
