The present invention relates to novel substituted 1,2,4-oxadiazole derivatives of the formula (I) and to their stereoisomers in which R<1> is hydrogen, C1-8-alkyl which is optionally substituted by halogen, cycloalkyl, alkoxy, hydroxyl, aryl, alkylcarbonyl, alkoxycarbonyl or cycloalkyl, R<2> represents hydrogen, halogen, NO2, CN, alkyl, haloalkyl, alkoxy or thioalkyl, R<3> represents hydrogen, halogen, NO2, CN, alkyl, haloalkyl, alkoxy or thioalkyl, R<4> represents OH, SH, haloalkoxy, haloalkylthio, haloalkylsulphinyl, haloalkylsulphonyl, aryloxy, aralkoxy, arylthio, aralkylthio, alkylenedioxy, haloalkylenedioxy, amino, alkylamino, dialkylamino, acylamino, carbamoyl, alkylsulphinyl, alkylsulphonyl, arylsulphinyl, arylsulphonyl, sulphonylamino, alkoxycarbonyl, alkylcarbonyl, alkylcarbonyloxy, alkoxyalkyl, alkoxyalkoxy or hydroxyalkoxy, where R<4>, in the event that at least one of the radicals R<2> or R<3> has a meaning other than hydrogen, additionally represents halogen, alkyl, haloalkyl, alkoxy or thioalkyl, and where R<4>, in the event that R<1> represents optionally substituted C1-8-alkyl, additionally represents alkoxy, processes for their preparation, and their use as endoparasiticides.
