PURPOSE: A battery is provided to improve the heat emitting effect and the stability of the battery by coating the material having a superior heat conductance to an inner portion of a battery case. CONSTITUTION: A battery comprises a case. A plurality of anode plates and a plurality of cathode plates are alternately positioned in the case. Each anode plate and cathode plate has an active material layer(22) consisting of an active material and a thermal conductive layer(23) consisting of a thermal conductive material. A separator is disposed between the anode plates and the cathode plates. The separator insulates the anode plates from the cathode plates. An inner portion of the case coated with a thermal conductive material. The thermal conductive material includes a diamond paste.
