PURPOSE: A device for automatically examining a vehicle body panel by using a computer vision and a method thereof are provided to examine the attachment of required parts with respect to a vehicle body panel by using a computer vision which outputs monitoring states to a graphic board. CONSTITUTION: A method for automatically examining a vehicle body panel by using a computer vision includes the steps of inputting part examination signal to a computer vision(10) as a vehicle body panel(70) is secured to an index jig(20) which fixes and conveys the vehicle body panel, transmitting image data to a multiplexer(50) for 16 channels by a CCD camera(40) which monitors the attachment of parts, transmitting sequentially input image data in the channel exchange manner to the computer vision by the multiplexer to be processed simultaneously, linear programming the input data by the computer vision and transmitting comparison result after classifying the data in a frame memory, and turning on a red LED by a graphic board(60) when the part is not omitted or blue LED in the other case.
