PURPOSE: A color cathode ray tube is provided to enhance resolution by improving a structure of a cathode ray tube. CONSTITUTION: A static focus electrode(41) is separated from a focus electrode. The static focus electrode(41) is formed by arraying electron beam passing holes(41a) to a horizontal direction. The static focus electrode(41) is used for diverging an electron beam to a horizontal direction and converging the electron beam to a vertical direction. The static focus electrode receives a constant focus voltage. A dynamic focus electrode is separated from the focus electrode. The dynamic focus electrode is formed by arraying electron beam passing holes to a vertical direction. The dynamic focus electrode receives a variable voltage synchronized with a deflection signal. A dynamic quadrupole lens is formed between the static focus lens(41) and the dynamic focus electrode.
