PURPOSE:To atop the feed of a continuous sheet of paper in the event of such a failure that the sheet is inserted in the tractor part in the direction different from the specified transporting direction. CONSTITUTION:In the tractor part 2, the third reflex sensor 26 is furnished in the position lower in the transport path for a continuous sheet of paper 1 and on a straight line which passes the first reflex sensor and intersects perpendicularly the specified sheet transporting direction. The first and the third sensing signal given by the first and third reflex sensors 20, 26 are fed as input signals, and the times at which these sensing signals attain reference level, are sensed, and the resultant time width between them is compared with the predetermined reference time width. If the time width is larger then the reference value, a stop signal is passed to a motor drive control circuit 23 along with giving an alarm signal to an alarm indication part 25, to stop transport motion of the sheet 1-if the time width is within the reference width, the fourth sensing signal having approx. the same level as the first is fed to a control part 22 in lieu of the first sensing signal. |
