PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device and a tool for connection capable of preventing the exposition of a connection part of the electronic device, and easily connecting a cable to the connection part. SOLUTION: Cables for connecting external electronic equipment to a navigation device 1 by a guide part 5 are guided to a connection part 3 of a device body 4 when a panel display 6 is at a non-standard position. Thus, even if an operator is difficult to connect the cables to the connection part 3, the cables can be easily and simply guided and connected to the connection part 3, and the cables can be connected to the connection part 3 even if the connection part 3 is not at an exposed position like in a conventional technology, but at a hidden position, the arrangement of the connection part 3 may be changed to the hidden position. It can be prevented by the change that the operator is undesirably brought into contact with the connection part 3, and any trouble attributable to the fact that the operator is undesirably brought into contact with the contact part 3 can be reliably prevented.
