The herein disclosed portable folding tripod-like lamp is composed of three bases 9 having the shape of a channel or pipe with their rear part triangularly arranged around the central axle and whichbases are connected to the joint 2 at their top andat one central support tube 4 via three support bars 6 connected in turn to a sliding ring 5. The three bases 9 contain a lighting source (the fluorescent tube 12). A handle 1 is adapted to the top of the central support tube 4. These three lightingsources (feet) are interconnected in such a way that they can open and close by traction or push of whatever feet. When opened out, said three lighting sources take the form of a tripod and compose a firm, self-supported construction able to be placed on a planar surface for uniformly illuminating a precise area. When closed, said lighting tripod-like unit is compact for easy storage and transport. |
