PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Geiger-Muller counter allowing exchange of internal gas filled into the Geiger-Muller counter.SOLUTION: The Geiger-Muller counter includes: an outer cylinder part that has an outer shape made of metal and is formed in a concave cylinder shape; a thin film forming an internal space by air-tightly sealing a circular opening of the outer cylinder part; an electrode disposed in the internal space; a first through hole that penetrates the outer cylinder part and makes the internal space communicate with an external space; a second through hole that penetrates the outer cylinder part and makes the internal space communicate with an external space; an attachable/detachable sealing valve connected to the second through hole; and inert gas filled into the internal space and corrosive quench gas. A corrosion resistant film is formed on the inner wall of the outer cylinder part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
