PURPOSE: To uniformize the temps. of many steel slabs and the temp. at each part in the steel slab by supplying combustion assist agent such as fuel and the air, etc., toward combustion flame of a burner provided on a furnace wall and controlling their supply quantities in a continuous heating furnace for steel slab. CONSTITUTION: Many steel slabs 1 are heated with the combustion flame from plural burners 6 arranged on the furnace wall while continuously carried from the left to the right on skid beams 4 in the continuous heating furnace. A fuel charging hole 7 for charging the fuel toward the combustion flame of the burner 6 is arranged near the burner 6 and a fuel flow rate control valve 9 is arrange to each fuel charging hole 7. The fuel is supplied from each fuel changing hole 7 to the combustion flame of the burner 6 near the hole 7 concerned and the temp. distribution at each part in the longitudinal direction in the heating furnace is measured with a thermometer 16. The supplying fuel quantity of the burner 6 is controlled with the fuel flow rate control valve 9 so that the temp. distribution becomes a target value. Thereby, the temp. difference among the steel slabs in the heating furnace and the partial temp. difference in each steel slab 1 are eliminated and the operation of hot rolling, etc., of the steel slab after that is stabilized. |
