PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polymer film compsn. stabilized against ultraviolet rays by specifying compounds contained in a base coat and a clear coat as well as their contents for a compsn. of a film forming binder comprising an electrocoat primer, a base or color coat and a clear coat. SOLUTION: The polymer film compsn. comprises 1-20 wt.% of at least one benzotriazole UV absorber expressed by formula I and contained in either of a base coat or a clear coat or both. The film forming binder is formed of an electrocoat primer adhered to a metal substrate, a base or color coat adhered to the electrocoat and containing a film forming binder and an org. or inorg. pigment or a mixture thereof, a clear coat adhered to the base coat and containing a film coating binder. In formula I, R1 is hydrogen atom or chlorine atom, R2 is a 4-28C alkyl group or a formula II, R3 is α-cumyl group. In formula II, R4 is hydrogen, an alkyl or an alkyl substituted with hydroxyl. |
