In a mechanical push-button tuner of the type comprising a number of slide members 42, each carrying a presettable cam 42a engaging a pair of treadle bars 43 which rotate the tuning mechanism to selected positions, each pushbutton 41 carries on its under side a pivoted lever 55 capable of presetting to two positions. Pins 64 on these levers engage cam surfaces 65 formed on a transversely operating slide switch 52 whereby the receiver may be switched to A.M. or F.M. by operation of any push-button. The slide switch may also be operated manually by means of a projection carrying knob 53, the tuner being capable of manual adjustment by means of tuning spindle 31, friction drive mechanism 32, 33 and gears 34, 35. |
