The furniture lift comprises a base (5) surrounded by a sheath (3). The sheath can be moved vertically relative to the base by a lever (4) which can pivot past the base on the rear side. The sheath (3) has on the front side a load carrier corner iron (10) which is adjustable in height. On the top is a second load carrier (19) also adjustable in height. On the front side of the sheath is a double vertical rack (9). The corner iron has teeth (13) which mesh with the rack teeth for positioning the height of the sheath. The double rack teeth and the corner iron teeth are of triangular pyramid shape and are formed by impression cutting without removal of material.
