PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a period of the timing of recording, that is, to increase a recording speed, by dispersing a processing of data for a recording head. SOLUTION: Data for recording dots of three primary colors (Y, M, C) and black(Bk) are written by four bits in shift registers 43Y, 43M, 43C and 43Bk corresponding to the individual colors, respectively. Recording units 30Y, 30M, 30C and 30Bk of a recording head corresponding to these colors are disposed at an interval P being an integral multiple of four dots +1 dot. According to this constitution, the recording units record simultaneously the data at mutually different positions of the respective four bits of the shift registers. Besides, the data are written in each shift register at the timing of recording shifted by one. As the result, a processing of the data is dispersed to each timing of recording. |
