摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize electrification by obtaining a high resistance value in an electrifying device of an image forming device. SOLUTION: In this electrifying device, a power feeding roll 1 provided with a semi-conductive layer 1b on a substrate 1a formed by insulating resin is provided with a length of space for discharge (d) formed by spacing retaining members 1d on both edges of a shaft part 1c that is not shown in the diagram and comes into contact with a photoreceptor drum 3 and is rotated. The power feeding roll 2 provided with conductivity and elasticity is also provided with a nip width (n) and is brought into contact with an electrifying roll 1 and is rotated. When power is fed from a constant-voltage source 4 through a shaft part 2a, the fed current is made to flow in the direction of the circumference of the electrifying roll 1 and the photoreceptor drum 3 is electrified from the electrifying roll 1 through the length of space for discharge (d). Since the fed current is made to flow in the direction of the circumference of the electrifying roll 1, the high resistance value (approximately 109 ohm) can be obtained and therefore stable electrification can be carried out.
