PURPOSE: A producing method of chrome-plated wire is provided to perform as a thermal stabilizing agent. CONSTITUTION: A chrome-plated wire is produced by the following steps. A cathode electrolytic alkali degrease is applied on a body formed of a complex wire made of pure copper or copper-based superconductor. Anhydrous chromate solution is sprayed and shaken on the surface of the body to be plated by anode electrolysis to remove oxide scales. A fine prominence and depression portion is formed on the surface by etching. Finally, chromium solution is sprayed and shaken on the surface of the cathode body by an insoluble anode electrolysis to form a uniform chrome-plated layer(4) of 0.2-1.5 micrometer along the circumference of the wire(1).
