PURPOSE:To obtain a diagnostic apparatus which can detect the abnormal position of a rotary part even when only one of two AE sensors generates an AE signal. CONSTITUTION:This diagnostic apparatus is provided with a first abnormality detecting means which detects the position where a rotary part becomes abnormal based on the difference of time between when an AE signal is received from an AE sensor 1 and when an AE signal is received from an AE sensor 2 in the case where delay circuits 15, 16, 17 and 18, inverters 19 and 20, latch circuits 21 and 22, AND circuits 23, 24 and 25, and delay circuits 26, 27 and 28 receive the AE signals from both AE sensors 1 and 2 within a predetermined time. Further, the apparatus is provided with a second abnormality detecting means which judges that the abnormal position of the rotary part is in the vicinity of the AE sensor 1 when only the AE signal from the AE sensor 1 is received 'in the predetermined time, and that the abnormal position of the rotary part is in the vicinity of the AE sensor 2 when only the AE signal from the AE sensor 2 is received in the predetermined time. |
