PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap capable of serving as a cover for a port of various kind of medical tool. SOLUTION: A male type nipple of a port having a certain kind of form of a medical apparatus is inserted in a receiving port 34 of a female portion 16 of a first end 12 of a cap 10 so as to be frictionally engaged with the port 34. An annular ridge 42 at the inner side of the cap 10 is engaged with a step at the outer surface of the nipple to surely retain the cap 10. Projections 58, 60 at the outside of the first end 12 of the cap 10 is threadably fitted in a collar with a felmale screw disposed around the male nipple. With respect to a port of a different kind of form, the male portion 18 of the cap 10 is inserted into the opening of the port and frictionally engaged with the opening. The medical appliance covered at its port with the cap is maintained in its internal condition until it is used. |
