PURPOSE: To improve the cost performance of a KARAOKE device which is installed in an individual KARAOKE room and reduce the size of the device by accessing KARAOKE sources through a server machine which is connected by a digital network. CONSTITUTION: Analog information from a KARAOKE source 101 is digitized and compressed by using technology such as MPEG so that the information can easily be handled. Further, the high-speed server machine 210 equipped internally with a hard disk drive, etc., where the information from the KARAOKE source 101 is temporarily stored at need so that the common KARAOKE source 101 included in a digital switching network 209 is not accessed directly by plural KARAOKE terminal devices 108 included in the network 209 is connected to the network 209 and this server machine 210 is accessed. Consequently, the KARAOKE terminal devices 108 can access the KARAOKE information at the same time. |
