PURPOSE:To prevent toner scattered from a developing device from intruding into an electrifying device and other devices. CONSTITUTION:A sealed developing space S is formed by fixing a guide rail 62, and a shield plate 65 through a supporting plate 63 to a partition plate 31 and arranging a sheet member 71 sealing a gap between the tip of the shield plate 65 and the surface of a photosensitive drum 1 over the whole length of the photosensitive drum 1 on the shield plate 65. Ventilating air flow A is generated in a direction separating from the photosensitive drum 1 within the developing space S by attaching an exhaust fan 72 in one part of the developing space S. The scattered toner is prevented from leaking out from the developing device 5 by the sheet member 71, and furthermore, the scattered toner is ejected from the developing space S by force by the exhaust fan 72. |
