A system (100) for controlling remotely controlled equipment (160) comprises an operator station (110), including a main operating device (114) to be operated by an operator, providing a main operating device signal, and an operator station controller (112). The operator station (110) further includes an equipment controller (120), connected to the operator station controller (112) and further connected to a first gate (140) that enables operation of the remotely controlled equipment (160). In order to improve safety aspects, the operator station (110) further comprises a confirmation operating device (116) to be operated by the operator, providing a confirmation operating device signal. Also, the system further comprises a critical action controller (130) which is configured to receive the confirmation operating device signal and which is connected to a second (150) gate that enables operation of the remotely controlled equipment (160). |
