摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of operation efficiency of an engine when abnormality occurs in the high pressure fuel supply system by providing a bypass passage, a valve mechanism, an abnormality diagnosing means and a bypass control means, and bypassing fuel through a high pressure fuel pump to be supplied to a fuel injection valve. SOLUTION: A control unit 3 has functions as an abnormality diagnosing means, a pulse width correcting means and a bypass control means. If the condition where fuel pressure detected by a fuel pressure sensor 21 is outside of tolerance continues more than designated time, a solenoid valve 13 is controlled to be opened, and the injection pulse width is increased and corrected to cope with the condition where a bypass passage 12 is opened and fuel is supplied to a fuel injection valve 2 by supply pressure of a low pressure fuel pump 9. Thus, the fuel supply pressure to the fuel injection valve 2 is stabilized to the supply pressure produced by the low pressure fuel pump 9 and a low pressure regulator 11, and a required quantity of fuel can be stably injected and supplied to an engine.
