PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate and provide a work in matching with the preference of the user from a huge movie software by providing a work database, a work evaluation database and personal preference database to a center and interconnecting a terminal equipment used by the user and the center via a communication network. SOLUTION: When the user gives a command of watching a video software to a center 12 through a transmission reception means 32, the center 12 gives work evaluation information stored in a work evaluation DB 18 to a terminal equipment 14 via a transmission reception means 20. The means 26 displays the information onto a display means 22 based on work evaluation information and personal preference information. When a prescribed work is selected among works, the means 32 provides an ID of the work to the center 12 and the center 12 sends video data of the work from the work DB 16 to the terminal equipment 14 based on the ID. An estimate means 30 stores the ID and the means 28 counts the reproduction time and that for the explanation. When the reproduction of the video image is stopped, the means 28 gives the reproduction view time to the estimate means 30 to check a degree of satisfaction of the work. The means 30 calculates the preference evaluation point of the viewed work to update the preference of the work.
