The electrooptical light modulator with reduced piezooptical effect comprises a plurality of modulator crystals (4.1...4.n) arranged optically in series which are placed between two polarizers (2, 8) and have different geometric dimensions, in other words diverging from each other; thereby, upon a pulse control, the overlapping of acoustic transient magnitudes produced in the various crystals of the modulator has another value along a light path towards each modulator crystal and, upon a periodical control, the overlapping of the proper frequencies of the various modulator crystals is impossible in the frequency.
|
