PURPOSE: To provide a positive charge toner composition insusceptible to moisture by incorporating resin grains, pigment grains, and the charge promoting additive of tertiary ammonium bisulfate. CONSTITUTION: This toner composition comprises the cores containing the resin grains, the pigment grains, and the charging promoting additive of tertiary ammonium bisulfate, preferably, represented by the formula: R'2 R"2 N<+> X<-> (R2 N)<+> X<-> (wherein, R' is aryl or substituted aryl group such as alkyl aryl group, preferably, 1 to about 30 C alkyl group, such as methyl, ethyl, propyl, butyl, hexyl, or heptyl group, and it is, preferably, dimethyldialkyl-ammonium bisulfate; and R" is aryl, substituted aryl such as alkylaryl or alkyl group, preferably alkyl group containing 1 to about 18 C; and X<-> is a bisulfate anion. |
