<p>PURPOSE:To enable CO2 to be recovered and reused efficiently by passing a CO2-containing waste gas through a culture medium for minute algae and fixing CO2 to the alga by photosynthesis, thereby transforming the alga into a carbonaceous fuel. CONSTITUTION:A pond for cultivating minute algae is provided in a plant that generates a CO2-containing waste gas (e.g. a thermal power plant). In this pond, CO2 in the waste gas is fixed to the alga by photosynthesis. The alga is then dried and pulverized, and recycled to the plant as fuel as it is or after being added to carbonaceous fuel such as pulverized carbon slurry or heavy oil.</p> |
