STANDBY CONTROL SYSTEM FOR DIGITAL MOBILE TELEPHONE SET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a waiting time as less as possible by including information relating to number of calling mobile stations in advance to a unit of paging channel information and allowing a mobile telephone set to conduct standby control based on the information on the number of received calling mobile stations. SOLUTION: A DSP unit 4 checks signals configuration information included in a head unit of a paging channel PCH in reception unit information from a TDMA controller 3. The PCH information includes the calling mobile station number and its mobile station identifier and does not make the reception of a succeeding PCH unit when absence of valid PCH information is discriminated in the signal configuration information. The mobile telephone set manages the number of calling mobile stations in the PCH to allow the reception of required minimum number of units and undesired current consumption is reduced and the waiting time is reduced as less as possable.
