<p>The present invention provides a stent device which can be mounted on a balloon catheter of any type for allowing a combined use of a stent of any type and a catheter of any type. Namely, the invention relates to a stent device wherein a stent is fitted over the outer circumferential surface of a tubular cartridge which is radially expandable and contractible. This stent device is mounted on a balloon-formed portion of a balloon catheter which is configured to expand the outside diameter of the catheter from a contracted state to an expanded state, whereby the stent is released from the balloon catheter to be set inside a vessel by first putting the balloon-formed portion in an expanded state in a vessel so as to expand the stent together with the tubular cartridge, and then contracting the balloon-formed portion and the tubular cartridge. <MATH></p> |
