The support comprises an elongated structural member (10) with its free end fixed to a bearing (14) which supports the wiper shaft (16). The body of the bearing is made from a moulded material e.g. plastic and is overmoulded onto the free end of the tubular structural member (10). The outer surface of the structural member's free end is non-round, e.g. flattened, in shape, with its lengthwise edges raised. The body of the bearing is made with a through channel (20) which receives the wiper shaft directly. |
