A self-leveling eating utensil having a handle (12) and a food carrier (14) rotatably coupled to the handle. The food carrier (14) may be coupled to one end of a shank (16). A weight (40) is preferably provided on the end of the shank (16) not coupled to the food carrier (14). The handle (12) is preferably formed from separable first and second handle halves (50 and 52).
