PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method of a wiper driving device capable of certainly operating a wiper, even when an output of a light receiving element is larger than an output in a non-adhesion state of raindrop to disable the wiper when a detecting surface is wet entirely in starting a raindrop detecting device. SOLUTION: In this control method of the wiper driving device, the wiper is controlled based on a result of a detecting device for reflecting light emitted from a light emitting element on a detecting surface, receiving the reflected light with the light receiving element, and detecting a state on the detecting surface. When the output of the light receiving element is larger than a reference output value in starting the detecting device, the wiper is wiped out at least once.
