A plastics recycling shredder discharges to a conical trap with a side-fitted air suction pipe and air suction assembly. The trap is divided into linked upper and lower sections by a horizontal partition. Air and particles are exhausted horizontally. The horizontal partition extends from inside the trap through the outlet pipe. The trap is a pipe-in-pipe unit. The ratio of one pipe outlet to the other is adjustable (9).
