UV-PROTECTIVE AND ANTI-INFLAMMATORY COMPOSITION FROM COPTIS CHINENSIS AND THE COSMETICS CONTAINING THE COMPOSITION

A composition including Coptis Chinensis extracts is provided to suppress the skin damage and inflammation caused by ultraviolet rays, and to relieve the cytotoxin of skin keratinocyte induced with ultraviolet rays. A composition for preventing and treating skin diseases comprises Coptis Chinensis extract and pharmaceutical vehicle. The Coptis Chinensis extract is obtained by extracting Coptis Chinensis at 80-120°C under 1-3 pressure(atm), filtering and concentrating it. Fnctional cosmetics for treating the skin diseases caused by ultraviolet rays comprises Coptis Chinensis extract, further water soluble vitamin, oil-soluble vitamin, high molecule peptide, high molecule polysaccharide, sphingolipid or seaweed extract.
