PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and well treat the excess length part of a cord-like body. SOLUTION: The excess length treating implement 23 is constituted by spirally winding a resin tube 22. The excess length part of an optical fiber 11 (cord-like body) is housed into this excess length treating implement 23, thereby, the excess length part can be treated by winding while avoiding entanglement. The easy treating or extending of the excess length part are made possible by the elongation and contraction properties of the excess length treating implement 23. The optical fiber 11 is easily insertable into the resin tube 22 by a notch 21 formed continuously over the overall length of the resin tube 22.
