PURPOSE:To surely spread a skin and at the same time contrive to facilitate the terminal processing by a method wherein a pre-formed core is covered with the skin and synthetic resin is introduced between the core and the skin. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a pre-formed core 11 is covered with a skin 21, the free end part 22 of which is forced in the holding groove 19 of a core 11 with a tool 23 for temporary fixing. After that, the core 11 is installed on a fixed mold 32 under mold opening state by fitting positioning pins 36 to the positioning holes 18 of the core 11. Then, a movable mold 33 is shifted toward the fixed mold 32 so as to close the molds under the state that the core 11 and the like are housed in the interior of a cavity 34. Next, synthetic resin 41 is injected through a sprue 35. The injected synthetic resin 41 flows through the communicating hole 16 of the core 11 between the skin 21 at the top surface of the core 11 and the core, resulting in pushing up the skin 21 so as to push it against the inner surface of the cavity 34 and, on the other hand, through the respective communicating grooves 17 of the core 11 in a recess 15 in order to fill the cavity 34 and the recess 15. In the console box lid thus manufactured, the skin 21 is elongated by the pressure of the filling synthetic resin 41 so as to surely spreadingly provided along the shape of the inner surface of the cavity 34. |
