PURPOSE:To obtain the new substance which is a rat protease inhibitor (LACI) having a specific amino acid sequence, suppresses an exogenous coagulation reaction and is useful for screening a human LACI inhibitor as an anticoagulant. CONSTITUTION:A new rat protease inhibitor riboprotein adherent protease inhibitor (LACI) which comprises an amino acid sequence of the formula, has specific inhibitory activity against VIIa factor as one of exogenous coagulation reactions and is suitable for screening a human LACI inhibitor useful as an anticoagulant and examining the role of a saccharide chain in LACI. The raw LACI is obtained by screening a rat gene library with a probe comprising a part of a rat LACI gene, incorporating the prepared DNA encoding rat LACI into an expression vector, transducing a host cell with manifestation the vector, transforming and culturing the transformant to manifest the gene. |
