PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly and easily discharge a powdery and granular material which can not be easily discharged, without leaving it at corners or the like, by providing a discharge opening widened larger than the position of the inside wall face, where the powdery and granular material contacting the inside wall face of a bag starts to slide along the inside wall face owing to the own weight, at the lower end of the end face of the cylindrical bag. SOLUTION: This flexible container is provided with a discharge opening 2 whose frontage is widened and opened larger than a position where a powdery and granular material contacting the inner wall face of the bag 1 slides along the inner wall face owing to the own weight, at the lower end of the end face 1a of the cylindrical container bag 1. And hence, the material staying on the inner wall face of the right and left sides of the discharge opening, can be efficiently discharged. In this time, when dimensions of the bag and the container are set as W>=D.sinα(α>=20 deg., preferably 25 deg.), the discharging effect increases, where D is the inner diameter of the cylindrical bag 1 at the time when it is completely expanded without materials in the inside andαis an angle that the tangential lines at the intersection points M, N of the right and left sides of the discharge opening and the outside shape of the flexible container make with the horizontal plane.
