The information transmission system includes the beacon (1) which is controlled by the control device (2), the beacon being fitted beneath the rails of a railway line. The signal transmitted by the beacon is picked up by the aerial (3) mounted on board the railway vehicle (5), for transmission to a unit (4) within the vehicle. When a vehicle is in the region of the beacon, the switching between successive messages is delayed. The transmission (7) which supplies the beacon carries an alternating voltage corresponding to the message, and a direct current component. |
