PURPOSE: The system for processing an advertisement using a growing character on the internet and the method for controlling the system are provided to increase of advertising effect, by setting the growing character, by clicking food to fed to the character when certain food is clicked, and by enabling cyber money or mileage to be accumulated according to the growing state of the character. CONSTITUTION: A server(10) displays the growing character together with a web page, and shows a certain advertisement on the location where the food was laid if the food for the character is clicked before the clicked food is fed to the character. A plurality of user computers(21-2n) are connected to the server(10) via the internet, and allows a user to receive the cyber money or the mileage, with enjoying the game like raising the character, thereby causing the increase of the advertising effect.
