PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform test print surely and conveniently by a structure wherein a reading means built in a printer reads out a test print start mark previously recorded at the forward end of a continuous recording paper or a recording paper being fed out first among a plurality of stacked recording papers. SOLUTION: A continuous recording paper 15 has white or milky white rear surface, i.e., the surface of a support 16, on which a register mark 22, a test print start mark 23 and address information 24 are recorded with black color on a line along the carrying direction. The register mark 22 is a bar mark of the predetermined width extending along the carrying direction of the continuous recording paper 15 and formed at a constant pitch while keeping an interval of L2. Only one test print start mark 23 is recorded at the forward end of continuous recording paper 15 in order to command test print on the printer side. The mark 23 is located at a position separated by a length L3 from a head register mark 22 in the carrying direction. |
