A circuit arrangement has a self-diagnosis system comprising a self-diagnosis circuit (4) with a storage element for storing electrical charge/s and a self-diagnosis program stored in the store of the control circuit (2) which during a first phase of testing switches the signal terminal (10) to output so as to charge the storage element and switches the signal terminal to input during a second testing phase.
