PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output data using the font different from a specified font by rewriting the value of each font attribute of plural font sets to make a font replacement possible. SOLUTION: A font table is generated on a Ram 2002 at the time when printer starts up, based on each font information which is beforehand stored in a font ROM 2004 and an external memory 2010. When data are received, judgement is made on whether the received data are the font attribute rewritable commands or not. If they are attribute rewritable commands, the font information of the font set of a specified font ID is retrieved from the font table. If the font information of a specified font ID exists, the specified font attribute in the received data of the font information of the font table is changed to the specified value. |
