The seat is made from a rigid shell (1) which is made in one piece from injected plastics material. Its outer part forms the seat (3) and the back (4) and is shaped to fit the shape of a body. It is covered with supple decorative padding (6) which has a complementary shape. The padding is made in one piece from plastic foam material that can deform elastically. It fits into hollows (3a,3b,4a,4b) in the shell which fit the shape of a body. The seat can have lateral arm-rests and the shells can be piled up.
